Did you know that ...? Statistics show that in developed countries the time spent by children, from an early age, in front of the monitor is 3-4 hours daily?

Parents in our consumer society are more and more busy, more stressed, they feel relieved if their child has "occupation", if they are not bothered by their daily chores but the long-term consequences will not be long in coming…

The structure of the magazine

1. Computer addiction in students

The advent of the computer, the "home computer" was considered a real technological revolution of the twentieth century. A true miracle of the technique, expected by many enthusiasts, widely publicized. Let's still try to analyze the advantages of this "miracle of the century", but especially the disadvantages…

Some questions should be asked:

  • How many hours does my child sit in front of the monitor?
  • Can the computer be turned into a babysitter?
  • Is my child smarter since he has internet access?
  • Do computer games stimulate a child's intelligence?
  • Why is my child more internalized, more aggressive, more mature?
  • Why is my baby obese?

2. The evolution of computers

The initial moment in the history of computers is usually related to the name of the English mathematician Charles Babbage. He proposed in the year 1830 or "Analytical Machine" which fascinatingly anticipated the structure of today's computers.

His ideas overtook him 100 years the technological possibilities of his time. Before him there were other attempts in this field Leibnitz and Pascal (XNUMXth century).

The next reference point is the year 1937, when Howard Aiken of Harvard University proposed the "Automatic Command Sequence Computer", based on a combination of Babbage's ideas and electromechanical computers, produced by IBM.

Its construction began in 1939 and ended in the year 1944, being named Mark I. It was mainly the first electromechanical computer, being composed of switches and relays…

3. Printed wiring

The use of printed wiring (circuits) is currently the most efficient and widespread construction solution for interconnecting components in electrical / electronic circuits from assemblies, electronic devices and equipment.

First used in 1945 (in military equipment), printed wiring has gradually replaced the old "space" wiring (conventional) wiring, introducing important changes in the construction and technology of both professional and consumer electronic equipment.

The main advantages of printed wiring are:

  • achieves a high density of mounting components, allowing the reduction of volume and weight (hence the miniaturization) of electronic devices;
  • ensures the precise and fixed positioning of the components and of their interconnections in circuits-allowing the increase of the reliability in operation and the reduction / compensation of the parasitic couplings between components and / or circuits;
  • ensures a superior resistance of electronic equipment (of which they are part) to mechanical, thermal and climatic stresses, while considerably improving their maintainability;
  • simplifies and reduces the duration of assembly operations, facilitating their automation, reducing the possibilities of erroneous mounting and ensuring a high degree of reproducibility;
  • make possible the unification and constructive standardization of the functional subassemblies (blocks, modules) from the structure of electronic devices / equipment, allowing their simple, fast, precise and reliable interconnection.

However, there are some minor disadvantages of printed wiring:

  • any subsequent modifications of the circuits (and sometimes even of the components) are relatively difficult to perform;
  • most types of printed wiring are sensitive to thermal shock - which requires some precautions when soldering the terminals of components…

4. Useful tips for winter photography

Get ready for the cold season. Taking pictures in winter means that both the photographic equipment and the clothing must correspond to the low temperatures.

If certain things are known about the camera - digital equipped with HD does not work, cameras with older electronics fail in the cold, the aperture of the old lenses does not close at the preselected value - what is less considered is clothing.

It is good to adopt the style of clothing with as many thin layers as possible at the expense of the thick one in a few starts. In addition to lightness in movement, several thin layers form between them multiple layers of air that increase the thermal insulation of clothing.

The body loses 50% of its heat through the head region. So it must be protected with a hat or cap made of a material that prevents the formation of perspiration but has good thermal insulation. For this the polartec or the flysch are very good. Polartec trousers, covered with goretex overpants (one-way membrane that lets the body breathe but does not let wind and moisture in), leather shirt, and two rows of thin polartec sweaters over which the goretex coat is worn are the best cold variant.

If you stay still for a longer period of time you need a goose down coat who dresses on top.

The shoes must be light, waterproof and the multilayer principle applies here as well. When it is very cold and you stay outside for a long time, it is good to have thin leather gloves with 5 fingerit's for maneuvering devices that pull over gloves with one finger.

If the situation requires and you have to travel through deep snow for a long time, snow guards are required...
